Diver makes an explosive discovery
A man diving for sea cucumbers off the west coast of Canada may have solved one of the most enduring mysteries of the Cold War. Sean Smyrichinsky apparently discovered what is believed to be a US nuclear bomb that was jettisoned from a US aircraft in 1950 shortly before it crashed. Despite numerous searches, the missile was never found. Navy divers are expected to confirm the find in the coming weeks.
