A Spearmint Rhino strip club in Sheffield has finally had its licence renewed after a year-long battle with feminist campaign groups. The fight has exposed the tensions among feminists on how far women should really be able to do what they want with their bodies.
Gender-neutral parenting
A British couple revealed this week that they are raising their toddler without revealing what sex it is, in a bid to “mitigate the gender bias that society places on children”. But the pair admit that responses to their decision have been mixed. Read our full briefing on the story here.
Food waste
A leading US supermarket has starting selling avocados coated in a plant-based substance that doubles the fruit’s shelf life. The substance, which is also being trialled in Asda, is aimed at combating food waste, but there are other solutions to dealing with leftover items in your refrigerator.
