Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker (R) on Monday signed a bill banning labor contracts that compel workers to pay union fees, making the Badger State the 25th in the nation with such a law. The so-called right-to-work legislation "will give workers the freedom to choose whether or not they want to join a union, and employers another compelling reason to consider expanding or moving their business to Wisconsin," Walker said.

In signing the bill, the potential 2016 candidate further bolstered his anti-union resume. In 2011, Walker gutted collective bargaining rights for public sector unions, sparking weeks of protests and an unsuccessful recall effort.
