Money isn't all Martin O'Malley is asking for this campaign season. As the former Maryland governor struggles to keep funds flowing for his longshot Democratic presidential bid, his campaign has expanded its "wish list" to include pens, clipboards, and office chairs:
These requests come even as the campaign is already asking for help and cutting corners. O'Malley took out a $500,000 loan in December, and The Washington Post reports that some staff members have even volunteered to work without pay. That, O'Malley spokeswoman Haley Morris said, "says a lot about the loyalty that he inspires in the campaign."
Alas, loyalty can't buy everything — not even pens.
