“As a result of subsequent inquires connected to the investigation, a 17-year-old male youth from Ipswich has been arrested by police. He has been taken to Martlesham Police Station, where he will be questioned by officers.”
The teenager is not believed to have “been detained on suspicion of murder or manslaughter”, the newspaper says.
Sky News reports that the victims’ next-of-kin had been informed.
“A police cordon is in place on the road in the Whitton area of the town as an investigation into the circumstances of the deaths continues,” adds the Ipswich Star newspaper.
Police have appealed for anyone with information to come forward.
