From Megeve to St Moritz, wherever you're heading this winter, hit the slopes in skiwear designed with both fashion and function in mind
Since beginning as a small production facility for ski equipment and knitwear in a Munich backyard, Bogner has become synonymous with fashionable sporting attire. The company was established by Olympic ski jumper and cross-country skier Willy Bogner in 1932, and is now run by his son, Willy Bogner Jr, also an ex-Olympic skier.

Founded on a passion for competitive skiing, Bogner's latest collection, Fire + Ice, combines style and performance, and designs from the company's archives have been given a modern update, with the introduction of more fitted styles and vibrant colour blocking.
Within the activewear range, the jacket is the centrepiece for both men and women. All women's jackets have been equipped with functional details such as removable hoods, ski-pass pockets, taped seams, snow-guards or zipped ventilation pockets. Meanwhile, for men, four-way stretch jackets with highly technical features are found throughout the range.

Vilebrequin - Atlas collection (above)
Vilebrequin has dressed the chicest beachgoers since founder Fred Prysquel established the company in St Tropez in 1971. Its early designs were influenced by surfers Prysquel had seen in California and Australia, as well as colourful fabrics he'd brought back from Africa, and bold prints remain its signature style.
While best known for its swimwear, for 2016, Vilebrequin has launched a line of stylish skiwear inspired by contrasts – think winter snow meets summer sun – as a tribute to mountain lovers active in every season.
The Atlas collection features a range of swimsuits and T-shirts ideal for warmer climates, as well as a water-repellent hooded quilted reversible down jacket for women, and a men's water-repellent hooded parka with a black raccoon band and a removable hood designed for braving the elements in winter.

Moncler – Grenoble FW16 collection
Moncler takes its name from Monestier-de-Clermont – a village near Grenoble in France, where the brand became official supplier of the French skiing team for the 1968 Winter Olympics. Founded in 1954, it began as a supplier of tents and then of jackets that were far lighter than the heavy woollen and gabardine pieces worn by most skiers and mountaineers at the time.
Inspired by its Alpine origins, Moncler's FW16 Grenoble collection offers greater lightness and slimmer silhouettes without compromising insulation and functionality. While garments in the high-performance range are specifically constructed for serious skiing in even the most challenging weather conditions, the elegant Apres Ski line is suitable for wearing both on and off the slopes.
