Great British Bake Off: Best Twitter reaction to episode two
Fortune cookie challenge and biscuit board games brought out the best in Twitter

The Great British Bake Off's move to Channel 4 has proven smooth sailing so far, but one new feature is still proving hard for some fans to swallow: the ad breaks. However, the interruptions do have at least one upside - they give viewers plenty of time to get on Twitter and share their best quips.
Bake Off is well known for its culinary double entendres, but presenter Noel Fielding got things off to an even saucier start than usual on Twitter last night with a snap of himself and judge Paul Hollywood getting extremely cosy, intended to put paid to rumours of off-screen tension between the two.
To which one intrigued fan had the perfect Bake Off response:

And once the show actually got underway, the innuendo showed no signs of stopping:
The fortune cookie technical challenge proved a perfect opportunity for Twitter wags to supply their own messages, many of them taking aim at the show’s controversial move from the BBC:
Even the board games showstopper inspired a few jabs at Hollywood, the only member of the original Bake Off quartet to make to move to Channel 4:
It wasn’t all bitterness and recrimination, though. Pointless co-host Richard Osman got the tweet of the night for his own suggestion for a baking board game:
His followers quickly chimed in with their own groan-worthy puns:
And then there was the truly heartwarming moment when fellow contestants forgot the competition to pitch in and help Tom get his biscuits assembled on time:
Despite her disastrous fortune cookies and underwhelming biscuit replica of Operation, Flo scraped through to next week, to the relief of the legion of fans who have taken the Scouse grandma into their hearts - if not always their ears.
But although it was curtains for Chris, whose slapdash biscuit British Isles destined him for the chop, it was a second week of glory for Steven. His exquisite cookie chess set saw him named star baker once again - and viewers understandably can’t wait to see what he’s got up his sleeve in weeks ahead:
The Great British Bake Off continues on Channel 4 on Tuesday at 8pm.
