The Daily Telegraph and i Sport called the performance a “masterclass” by Barcelona and their star striker Lionel Messi, who scored twice in the second-leg win.

You have to “hand it to Messi” says the Daily Express as David de Gea’s gaffe gifted Barca the win. The United goalkeeper’s howler is also the focus on the Daily Mirror back page headline which reads “Oh Nou!”.

United were “blown away” by the La Liga giants The Times reports and The Guardian says the Catalans left the Premier League side “on their knees” as they secured a comfortable 4-0 aggregate win.
