1. Michelle Branch arrested for allegedly slapping estranged husband
Michelle Branch and Patrick Carney's split has gone from ugly to uglier. The "Everywhere" singer has been arrested for domestic assault after she allegedly slapped Carney, her estranged husband. Branch previously told TMZ she's "totally devastated" that she and the Black Keys drummer are divorcing after three years of marriage. "The rug has been completely pulled from underneath me and now I must figure out how to move forward," she said, and in a since deleted tweet, she accused Carney of cheating on her. Now, TMZ reports police were called to their Nashville home at 2:00 a.m., and Branch was arrested, admitting she slapped Carney "one to two times" in the face. He reportedly didn't have any visible injuries, and after posting $1,000 bail, she was released early because she's breastfeeding their six-month old child. A hearing on the domestic assault charge was scheduled for November.
2. Anne Heche dies at 53 after car accident
One week after being critically injured in a horrific car accident, Anne Heche has died at age 53. The Emmy-winning actress was severely burned after crashing her car into a home in Los Angeles last Friday, and her family confirmed in an earlier statement she was "not expected to survive" after suffering "severe anoxic brain injury." She had remained in a coma since the accident and has now been declared brain dead, according to TMZ, though her family says that because "it has long been her choice to donate her organs," she is "being kept on life support to determine if any are viable." Heche was reportedly under investigation for felony DUI, and a blood test showed she had cocaine in her system. "We have lost a bright light, a kind and most joyful soul, a loving mother, and a loyal friend," the family said. Ellen DeGeneres, Heche's ex-girlfriend, tweeted that today "is a sad day," and that she is sending "Anne's children, family, and friends all of my love."

3. Tatiana Maslany secretly got married, and her dog almost ruined the wedding
Tatiana Maslany almost had a pretty ruff wedding. The She-Hulk star stopped by The Late Show to reveal she secretly tied the knot, marrying Lie to Me star Brendan Hines. Their dog, Earl, served as ring bearer during the small, "chill" ceremony — leading to a sitcom-esque wedding day snafu. "Brendan and I are taking pictures and we're making out, and then there's this great picture where you can see that Earl has lost the rings," Maslany recounted, showing a photo of the adorable little guy holding an empty box. "He's truly like, 'Oh, no!'" she said. "He knows what he's done." They discovered the rings were gone "moments later" but thankfully found them in a "field of sheep." When Stephen Colbert gently suggested Maslany may have been "courting trouble" by giving Earl such a major role in the ceremony, she defended the decision. "He's 6 now," Maslany said. "He has to grow up." Be careful, Earl: You wouldn't like her when she's angry.
4. Drake gets his mom’s initials tattooed on his face
A Drake's best friend is his mother, if the rapper's face is anything to go by. The "Hotline Bling" singer took to Instagram to show off his brand new tattoo, revealing he got the letters "SG" right below his eye — the initials of his mother, Sandra Gale. Drake already has over 30 tattoos, though this is his first time getting ink on his face. But tattoos are apparently just the Drake family's way of saying "I love you." He already has several dedicated to family members, and he recently called out his father for getting a tattoo of his son's entire face on his arm. "Why you do me like this we family," Drake joked on Instagram. And hey, if the rapper and his mother ever have a falling out, he can always claim he got this latest tattoo because he's a huge Seth Green fan.

5. Warner Bros. could still bring back Leslie Grace as Batgirl
After publicly humiliating her by throwing her nearly complete movie in the garbage, Warner Bros. might — might — consider potentially letting Leslie Grace play Batgirl for real. How generous! A new report from Variety says Warner Bros. is "seeking to mend fences" with the actress after shockingly scrapping her Batgirl movie and is "entertaining the possibility of having her continue to play Batgirl in a future DC film." It wasn't clear when or where that could happen, and whether Grace will jump at the chance to work with DC again is an open question. But this new detail comes after The Hollywood Reporter revealed that Warner Bros. is still working with Ezra Miller, bringing the actor back for reshoots on The Flash this summer despite their long list of criminal allegations. Big hmm!
