1. Little Lulubel rainbow forest honeycomb decorations
These old-fashioned tissue-paper trees pop open and are secured by two paperclips. To add a bit of sparkle, their stars are covered with plant-based eco glitter. Each pack of ten comes in a mix of two sizes and a variety of colours.
2. Bloom & Wild creative crafts tree
Bloom & Wild sells a collection of dinky 44cm rooted trees that can be replanted after Christmas, for use again next year. Sent through the post, they come in a pop-up pot, and with their own mini decorations, including lights and baubles.

3. Ian Snow plastic-free stegosaurus decoration
For anyone with an eye on plastic waste, this tree decoration may be just the thing: it is made from fabric, with glass beads – and though its filling is plastic, it is recycled.
4. Biscuiteers Christmas tree decorations luxe biscuit tin
Biscuiteers is selling 12 hand-iced gingerbread biscuit baubles in a festive tin. The biscuits come with gold ribbons for hanging.
5. Felt So Good felt multi-lightbulb garland
Handmade in Nepal, this pretty felt garland is 100% wool, and comes on a two-metre-long rattan string.
6. Leopard glass tree decoration
Even glass baubles are subject to trends. This year’s apparently include food items and dogs. But this leopard could be an appealing choice for all those who defy fashion.
7. Hanging handmade floral Kashmir birds
More durable than glass baubles, these charming papier mâché birds are made by skilled artisans in India, using recycled newspapers and office waste. They are sold in sets of three; colours may vary.
8. Lakeland 6 Nutcracker Christmas crackers
These Nutcracker-themed crackers are made from glitter-free, foil-free fully recyclable card. Each one contains a wooden Nutcracker soldier with hanging loop for your tree, as well as a joke and a paper hat.
9. Lex Pott twist candle
Almost too pretty to burn, these 24cm-tall sculptural candles come in a wide range of colours including blue, pink and olive green. Guaranteed to brighten up the Christmas table, they would make great Christmas presents too.
