Mohamed Salah: Liverpool can win Champions League and Premier League
Egyptian star is confident the Reds can achieve trophy double

Liverpool star Mohamed Salah believes the Merseyside club can achieve a double this season by winning both the Champions League and Premier League titles.
The Reds have started the new season with five league wins in a row and kick off their Champions League group C campaign tonight, when they host French giants Paris Saint-Germain at Anfield (8pm).
Manager Jurgen Klopp led Liverpool to last season’s Champions League final, where they lost 3-1 to Real Madrid, and Salah is confident they can go one step further in Europe’s elite club competition.

Speaking to France Football magazine, the 26-year-old said: “Of course we can make the final again. I am sure we can win the tournament. I think we can win both, Champions League and the Premier League. I don’t want to put pressure on, but everything is possible.”
The former Roma forward scored 44 goals in his debut season at Anfield, winning the Premier League golden boot. Salah and strike partners Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane are now one of the most-feared attacks in world football.
Salah says their relationship, on and off the pitch, is a big factor in their success. “We are friends, we speak a lot,” said Salah. “Generally, all three of us sit in the dressing room together, right after matches. There is a real solidarity between us, as we do not care who scores the most or first.”
His superb debut season for Liverpool saw Saleh win the PFA Players’ Player of the Year award and named in the PFA Team of the Year for the Premier League. He is also nominated for The Best Fifa Men’s Player award, alongside Cristiano Ronaldo and Luka Modric. The winner will be revealed on Monday 24 September at a ceremony in London.
