1. Lil Nas X's Satan Sneakers court date turns out to be fictional trailer promoting new single

Lil Nas X was in legal trouble with Nike — well, his Satan Shoes were. But despite his recent talk of heading to court and the trending #FreeLilNasX, he's only heading to fictional jail. The lawsuit that wasn't ended up being an elaborate marketing ploy for his next single, Industry Baby (produced by Kanye West), out July 23. The rapper released a video of a fictionalized trial in which he plays the defendant, both lawyers, the judge, and a juror. That trial didn't go his way and he sentenced himself to 5 years in Montero State Prison, where he'll presumably be in the next video. Fortunately for Lil Nas X, the Nike debacle was settled in April, and today he proved once again he is a social media genius.

2. Britney Spears and sister Jamie Lynn are feuding on Instagram

Last month, Jamie Lynn Spears claimed she supported her sister "long before there was a hashtag, and I'll support her long after." But Britney Spears is suggesting otherwise. The singer wrote: "How dare you make it public that NOW you CARE … did you put your hand out when I was drowning ???? Again … NO …" and admitted she was hurt when Jamie Lynn performed her songs at an awards show. On Sunday, Jamie Lynn shared a post with the caption: "May the peace of the Lord be with you." Soon after, Britney shared a video with what fans assumed was a message to her sister: "May the Lord wrap your mean a-- up in joy today." Jamie Lynn quickly changed her caption and shut off comments for her post. Message received.

3. Matt Damon's daughter refuses to watch any of his 'good' movies

It can be hard for celebrities to stay humble. Not Matt Damon, thanks to his 15-year-old daughter, Isabella. She refuses to watch any movies her father stars in that "she thinks might be good," Damon revealed on CBS Sunday Morning. That includes the Oscar-winning Good Will Hunting. She likes to make fun of her dad, he admitted. Case in point: "My daughter said, 'Yeah, remember that movie you did, "The Wall"?' I said, 'It was called "The Great Wall."' She goes, 'Dad, there's nothing great about that movie.'" Tough love.

4. Friends co-creator blames show's lack of diversity on 'the time' and 'my own ignorance'

Friends co-creator Marta Kauffman addressed criticism that the classic comedy fell short on diversity during an episode of CNN's History of the Sitcom on Sunday. "It was, to a certain extent, a product of the time period, and of my own ignorance," Kauffman said. "There were Black shows and there were white shows. There weren't a lot of shows that were interracial." She told The Hollywood Reporter earlier this year that it was "certainly not conscious" that only white actors were cast in the six lead roles. "I guess at the time," Kauffman said in the CNN documentary, "I was thinking, 'This is what I know.'"

5. Prince Harry has been secretly writing a potentially 'explosive' memoir

Prince Harry has been "secretly writing a memoir for nearly a year." Random House confirmed news of the memoir, saying the book will cover his "lifetime in the public eye from childhood to the present day," and he'll "offer an honest and captivating personal portrait." While it isn't clear how much royal family drama Harry will talk about in the memoir, the Page Six report goes as far as to predict it will be "the most explosive book of the decade." The memoir is set to be published in late 2022, and proceeds will be donated to charity. Harry said he's writing the book "not as the prince I was born but as the man I have become." How charming.
