1. Airline pilot urges passengers to watch Hustlers so J.Lo can win an Oscar

Awards season is heating up in Hollywood, but campaigns are rarely more grassroots than the one on a recent JetBlue flight, when the pilot — inspired by the pleas of a Jennifer Lopez-loving passenger — got on the intercom and encouraged all the plane's passengers to watch Hustlers during the flight. In the wake of J.Lo's Golden Globe nomination, the unusual request was designed to drum up support for a possible Oscar nomination. The Academy takes "how many people watched this movie on a tiny screen while eating PopChips" into consideration, right?

2. Kim Kardashian is suing the 'vampire facial' doctor

In an episode of Kourtney and Kim Take Miami, Kim Kardashian got something called a "vampire facial," because that's the kind of dumb stunt you do when you have countless hours of reality TV to fill. But Kardashian has since learned that the Alabama doctor who performed the "vampire facial" has been using her likeness to promote his business, and she thinks that sucks. In retaliation, Kardashian has filed a lawsuit seeking damages for copyright and trademark infringement, false association, and violation of the right of publicity. She has also demanded that the doctor take her blood-speckled selfie off his LinkedIn page — thus marking the first time anyone has cared about the contents of someone's LinkedIn page in years.

3. Eminem and Nick Cannon are beefing again

Anyone with a sharp mind for dull celebrity feuds will recall the war of words between Eminem and Mariah Carey in the early '00s, which stemmed from Eminem insisting that he once dated Carey and Carey insisting that he didn't. In an age characterized by bottomless nostalgia for the half-remembered junk of the past, a reboot of this feud was probably inevitable — so here we are in 2019, with Eminem and Carey's husband Nick Cannon trading new insults back and forth over diss tracks and tweets. All of this is riveting stuff, of course — but not so riveting that it makes us want to listen to either of these clowns' music.

4. Don't worry, Cara Delevingne and Ashley Benson didn't break up

When Carnival Row star Cara Delevingne tweeted "Me and Ashley broke up" late on Monday night, fans understandably assumed she was referring to a sudden and unexpected end to her relationship with Pretty Little Liars star Ashley Benson. But while everyone mourns a breakup in their own way, fans grew a little more suspicious when Delevingne's next tweet was a sketchy-looking iPhone giveaway. It has since been confirmed that Delevingne's Twitter account had been hacked by a mystery user who posted the tweets, so consider this yet another friendly reminder to turn on two-factor authentication already.

5. Chrissy Teigen reveals the secret for avoiding a hassle at the airport

Worried about traveling over the holidays? Here's one celebrity-tested method for cutting down on the stress: Money! When asked how she deals with air travel, Chrissy Teigen revealed that she's a member of a service that grants VIPs access to a special private terminal at LAX, which offers travelers personal suites, a private TSA screening, and a ride directly onto the airplane. The cost for all that luxury? $4,500 upfront, and $3,000 each time you take an international flight. (Now: How much more would it cost to make sure the person in front of you on the plane doesn't recline their seat?)
