Henrik Fisker, the legendary designer behind the iconic BMW Z8 and Aston Martin Vantage, is to reveal his second production car under his electric brand in August.
Dubbed the Fisker EMotion, it promises to be the fastest all-electric car on the market, with a top speed of 161mph, and have a 400-mile battery range - around seven miles more than Tesla's Model S 100D saloon.
In addition, the EMotion "makes use of innovative graphene battery technology", says Autocar. It's a secretive nano material derived from graphite, although its benefits over regular battery cells are unknown.

Aside from its new battery technology, the car will be constructed from a carbon fibre composite and aluminium with a design similar to his Karma electric saloon, using a mix of sharp lines and curves with massive wheel arches.
Fisker told the magazine: "The entire cabin has been moved forward very much and we lowered the bonnet of the vehicle to get better aerodynamics.
"Because of the better packaging of an EV model, we have been able to create a more dynamic and sporty design but the leg room is on par with large luxury saloons."
The EMotion will also have butterfly-wing doors, which are expected to lift upwards in a similar fashion to the doors on Tesla's Model X SUV.
Danish-born Fisker is known for his iconic designs for the likes of BMW and Aston Martin, created before he turned his attention to creating his own cars and debuted the Fisker Karma in 2008.
The sleek and luxurious car made it to the market four years before Tesla became industry leaders with its Model S saloon. However, despite being partners with actor Leonardo DiCaprio, the Karma wasn't a sales hit.
Pricing for the EMotion has yet to be announced, but its luxurious body shape and interior would position it against Tesla's £134,500 Model S P100D.
More details will be revealed when the car makes its debut on 17 August.
