Louis van Gaal favourite to replace Paul Clement at Swansea City
Ronald Koeman is also in the running to be the next Swansea manager
Swansea City have sacked Paul Clement. According to various media reports, the Premier League’s bottom side are hoping to appoint a new manager within the next 24 hours.
The Welsh side are looking for their third boss in less than a year. This morning The Sun and the Daily Mirror both report that Louis van Gaal is being lined up to replace Clement.
Swansea face Crystal Palace in a must-win match on Saturday and the club would like to have a new appointment in place before then. They are also looking for a manager with Premier League experience.

Van Gaal, 66, has been out of work since being sacked by Manchester United in 2016 but the Dutchman did say at the weekend that the “right job” could see him return to football.
Other names in the frame include Ronald Koeman, Slaven Bilic, Frank de Boer, Fulham manager Slavisa Jokanovic and Sheffield United chief Chris Wilder. Former West Brom manager Tony Pulis isn’t thought to be in the running.
The Daily Mail says that Roberto Martinez, who managed the Swans from 2003 to 2006, is another option.
It would be an ambitious move for the Swans as Martinez is currently head coach of Belgium and will be taking them to Russia for next summer’s World Cup finals.
