The deals tipped to take place during the January transfer window
Philippe Coutinho: Liverpool to Barcelona

Reds boss Jurgen Klopp is lining up Monaco star Thomas Lemar to replace Coutinho. Lemar was a target for Liverpool during last summer’s transfer window and will cost in the region of £90m. The Daily Mirror says Liverpool will face competition from Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal for the 22-year-old French international.
Alexis Sanchez: Arsenal to Manchester City
The Sun reports that City boss Pep Guardiola is keen to sign out-of-contract Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez now that Gabriel Jesus is out injured. Sanchez is available for around £25m during January, and Guardiola wants the Chilean to bolster the league leaders’ squad as soon as possible rather than waiting until the summer, when Sanchez would be available on a free transfer.
Danny Rose: Tottenham to Manchester United
Also in The Sun, United boss Jose Mourinho is reportedly desperate to sign England defender Danny Rose and is urging the club’s board to make a bid of at least £50m. Spurs will not allow Rose to leave the club during the January transfer window but could be tempted if they can line up Fulham teenage star Ryan Sessegnon as his replacement.
Juan Mata: Manchester United to Inter Milan
Spain midfielder Juan Mata is a target for Italian giants Inter Milan. Mata is out of contract at the end of the season and if United do not take up the one-year option to extend his deal, the 29-year-old could be on his way to Italy. The Daily Mirror reports that Mata won’t commit to a new deal at Old Trafford unless he has a clear future there.
Emre Can: Liverpool to Juventus
Emre Can is out of contract at the end of the season and is a reported target for Juventus, but according to Sky Germany, the midfielder looks likely to remain at Liverpool during the January transfer window. It is believed that the Germany international is still in talks with Liverpool over a new contract but is also reportedly speaking to Juve about a move to Serie A. Can signed for Liverpool in 2014 and has made 154 appearances for the Anfield club.
Theo Walcott: Arsenal to Southampton
Sky Sports News understands that Southampton are favourites to sign Theo Walcott if the Arsenal forward leaves the Emirates during the January transfer window. Walcott signed for Arsenal from the Saints in 2006 and is out of contract in 18 months.
Leon Goretzka: Schalke to Bayern Munich
Bayern Munich sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic has confirmed that the club are interested in signing Schalke midfielder Leon Goretzka. The 22-year-old is out of contract in the summer and has been a reported target for Liverpool. Salihamidzic told The Guardian: “Leon Goretzka is a great player, that’s clear. He is a Schalke player and we obviously respect that. But he is a Germany international and we can say that we are interested in him.”
