Liverpool transfer window 2015: now Rodgers must deliver results
Liverpool transfer news: Reds eye Walcott and Benteke
08 May
Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has shrugged off Memphis Depay's decision to move to Manchester United, claiming that the Reds were never interested in the player and insisting that he already has all the wingers he needs.
However, his comments in the Daily Express do not sit well with the Daily Telegraph's assertion that Liverpool are interested in signing Arsenal winger Theo Walcott, whose contract expires at the end of next season.

Arsenal and Walcott have opened talks but no deal has yet to be reached. That could put pressure on the Gunners to sell before next summer, although Arsene Wenger is prepared for another round of brinkmanship with a big-name player,
"Liverpool are interested in signing Walcott if he does not commit his future to Arsenal, but Wenger has suggested the Anfield club may have to wait until the January 2016 transfer window," says the paper.
Rodgers may have plenty of wingers, but he has a distinct lack of strikers, particularly now that Daniel Sturridge is fighting to be fit for the start of the next campaign. But The Times believes Liverpool are sizing up a bid for Aston Villa forward Christian Benteke.
A move for the Villa goal machine is "under consideration" says the paper, which adds: "Sturridge’s injury problems have prompted the Merseyside club’s interest in the Belgium forward to grow."
Liverpool transfer news: Milan star Menez is latest on hit list
06 May
The latest player to be linked with Liverpool, who are set to revamp their forward fine this summer, is AC Milan forward Jeremy Menez, with Metro claiming that the Reds are "reportedly lining up a transfer" for the 27-year-old France international.
Menez has scored 16 goals in 32 Serie A appearances for this season for Milan and Reds boss Brendan Rodgers is said to be increasingly keen on landing the 27-year-old attacking midfielder, even though he is tied to the San Siro until 2017. One obstacle in Liverpool's path, however, may come from a rival bid from France outfit Monaco, also said to be ready to swoop for Menez.
The Reds have also signed Paulinho, but there's no need for fans to panic, they have not purchased the Spurs midfielder, but rather his teenage namesake from Portuguese third division outfit Sanjoanense. The Daily Express reports that the youngster travelled to Liverpool with his father after a deal was thrashed out, and is due to undergo a medical at Melwood. All being well, the 17-year-old will join the squad next season.
The Reds are also in the market for a new goalkeeper after an unconvincing season for Simon Mignolet, and the Daily Star reports that Stoke custodian Asmir Begovic is top of Rodgers's hit list. The paper reports that Begovic's future in the Potteries is "in doubt" and says Stoke may look to cash in on the 27-year-old who has just 12 months to run on his current contract.
Meanwhile, another keeper, Brad Jones, could be on his way out of Anfield. The Daily Mail says that the Australian is "furious" after being led to believe that he would be offered a new contract at the end of the season. That may now not happen leaving the goalie out of contract at the end of the current campaign.
