And other stories from the stranger side of life
A Paralympian has been accused of being a “sad, lonely man who thinks waiters are his friends” by a restaurant boss who was unhappy with his negative TripAdvisor review complaining about slow service. Tim Challinor was accused of throwing a “hissy fit” and giving waiters his “life story” when they were busy working at the Tuk Tuk restaurant in Eastbourne. Challinor, a former Royal Navy able seaman and Ministry of Defence firefighter, said: “I’m disgusted. He shouldn’t speak to people like that. He has been downright offensive.”
