A man in Wales has been hospitalised for more than two weeks with an awkward condition that has left him with a permanent erection. Danny Polaris tried an erection-enhancing drug which was injected into his penis. “I thought, why not, what could possibly go wrong?” he said. “It's one of the worst decisions of my life.”

Polish village awaits first birth of a boy for nearly a decade

A mayor in Poland has promised a prize for the next couple to deliver a boy in a village where only girls have been born for nearly a decade. Rajmun Frischko, a father of two girls, said that he was “considering naming a street” and an oak tree after the long-awaited baby boy.

Wasps help cops in sting operation

A fugitive in Germany has been caught thanks to the help of some furious wasps. The suspect fled from police and leapt from a balcony into a wasps' nest. When the insects attacked the man he ran onto the street. Officers tried to apprehend him, only to be attacked by wasps themselves. The suspect jumped into a pool, where he was arrested.
