Robot pole dancers are set to be launched at a French nightclub this month. Each dancing droid will wear high heels and have a CCTV camera for a head. Laurent Roue, the owner of the SC-Club in Nantes, said the club’s human dancers will also continue to gyrate there. “To each his own,” he added.

A builder defecated on a roof he was working on and got a friend to take a photograph of the act. “I was a bit disgusted,” said the homeowner after discovering the roof-top stool. “They'd even shoved some down my chimney stack. It's dreadful behaviour.” He was even more appalled later when he discovered the photo was being sent around via email.

Speeding driver said he ‘needed a number two’
Meanwhile, a motorist caught driving at 110mph on the A1 told police he was speeding because he needed “a number two”. A silver Mercedes was stopped by an unmarked police car near Yaxley in Cambridgeshire. An officer tweeted: “The driver was very sorry but he ‘needed the toilet, a number two’. Err that’s okay then. Reported.”
