Deadly spider venom may hold cure for skin cancer

Venom from one of the world’s deadliest spiders may contain a peptide that holds the cure for melanoma, and cancerous facial tumours that are close to destroying the Tasmanian Devil populations in Australia. The research follows on from an earlier study that found a similar compound in a highly toxic Brazilian spider.
Driving instructor charged with DUI while teaching students
A Long Island man has been arrested and charged with drink-driving, after four of his students demanded he pull over before they called police to report they suspected he was drunk. The instructor, Russell Cohen, was arrested in the parking lot of a McDonald’s restaurant around 11am Saturday morning.

Florida man prints fake money at public library
A Florida man has been charged with producing counterfeit money, after he admitted to his landlord that his rent money had been printed at a local library. Levy Newberry, 28, told police he found a template for printing the money online, and bought cotton-blended paper, similar to that used by US officials, at a local Walmart.
