China trials cockroach farms to eliminate food waste

The Chinese city of Jinan has begun a novel approach to dealing with the city’s food waste, by building a massive cockroach farm capable of consuming up to 50 tonnes of kitchen waste per day. The cockroaches, once they die, are then used to make feed for pigs and other farm animals, according to the Shanding Qiaobin Agricultural Technology company.
Boy brings blow-up sex toy to school nativity
A Scottish mother has revealed that she accidentally sent her small son to a school nativity activity with an inflatable sex doll in the shape of a sheep. Helen Cox, 46, told local media that she was unaware of the doll’s true purpose when she bought it from Amazon. The online sales company has since removed the item’s listing.

Employees arrested after girl finds ecstasy in her kids’ meal
Two people have been arrested after an 11-year-old girl discovered an ecstasy pill in her kids’ meal. The girl was unwrapping a hamburger for her four-year-old brother when she found the drug, and asked her parents if it was some kind of sweet. The pill tested positive for MDMA, and two employees of the restaurant were arrested.
