Seal saved from Second World War pillbox

An injured grey seal has been released back into the wild after getting stuck on top of a Second World War pillbox on Fraisthorpe Beach, near Bridlington in Yorkshire. A rescuer said the seal was “dehydrated” but added: “Luckily, we were able to get him down safely.”
Fruitarian swears by daily pint of urine
A man who consumes a diet only comprised of fruit says that drinking a pint of old urine makes him feel “amazing”. Fabian Farquharson, from Sheffield, remembers that when he first drank the bodily fluid “it tasted a bit like a bitter ale… but not a terrible taste and I had no problem finishing the glass”. Within half an hour, he remembers, “I was absolutely bursting with energy”.

Bridge player banned for doping
The world's leading bridge player has been banned after failing a drugs test. Geir Helgemo, of Norway, was given a one-year ban after testing positive for synthetic testosterone and a female fertility drug. Doping violations in less athletic sports are not unheard of: in 2015, it was reported that 1.1% of billiards players and 10.6% of anglers were caught with banned substances.
