Fraser fizzing

AFC Bournemouth winger Ryan Fraser has admitted he’s chuffed at reports that Arsenal have added him to their shopping list.

The Daily Mirror broke the news earlier in the week and the paper now reports that the Scotland international “would be interested” in a summer move to the Emirates.

Apparently Arsenal boss Unai Emery likes the look of the wing man and believes he could provide the ammunition for his strikers from out wide.

The Mirror says Tottenham Hotspur and Everton are also keeping an eye on the 25-year-old but in conversation with Sky Sports Fraser said of the alleged interest from Arsenal: “I’m not going to lie, you do feel good, especially when it’s a massive club.

“It means you are doing something right. When you see your name thrown around you always think to yourself that you are a Bournemouth player and you try to do well.”

Alternative plans

Metro also believes that Fraser could soon be on his way to the Emirates, but in the event that the deal doesn’t get across the line the paper believes Emery has some other targets on his radar.

One is Boca Juniors hotshot Cristian Pavon, who is said to be ready to head to Europe and the other is Leandro Trossard of Genk. The 24-year-old Trossard, also being monitored by Everton and Wolfsburg, is reportedly available for a modest £14m.

Back off

Ajax sporting director Marc Overmars has warned Arsenal to back away from Nicolas Tagliafico this summer, reports The Sun.

In recent weeks rumours have been growing that Emery has his eye on the Argentine full-back as he looks to strengthen his defensive options for next season.

The gossips have put the wind up Ajax and Overmars is adamant that despite his historic links to the Gunners he won’t be doing them any favours in the summer transfer market.

Valued at £8m, Tagliafico has yet to sign a new contract with the Dutch outfit and that could yet lead to an Emery swoop.

Wes still wants Prem move

Wesley Moraes has given Arsenal a boost, claims the Daily Mail, with his declaration that he still dreams of playing in the Premier League.

The Club Brugge marksman was first linked with a move to Arsenal earlier in the season and it’s believed that Emery regards him as the man to replace Danny Welbeck, whose contract expires next month.

It’s unlikely, given his injury record, that England man Welbeck will be retained by the Gunners, and instead Moraes could be brought in as the understudy to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette.

The Brazilian has scored 14 goals and added nine assists this season for Club Brugge and in an interview with Belgian newspaper Het Belang van Limburg, the 22-year-old said: “I once said that I want to go to England and that is still the case. I have always closely followed the Premier League.”
