Real Madrid plan swoop for Harry Kane
Sports Illustrated reports that Real Madrid could spend up to £500m overhauling the team this summer and have placed Tottenham striker Harry Kane at the top of their transfer target list. A source at Real has said that the club has a €600m (£534m) transfer war chest but cautioned that Spurs chairman Daniel Levy would demand a world-record transfer fee of more than €300m (£267m) for Kane.

Jack Butland: keeper denies he wants to leave Stoke
Stoke City and England goalkeeper Jack Butland, a target for Arsenal and Liverpool, has denied telling the Premier League club that he wants to leave. Butland tweeted: “Before this spreads any further, I haven’t told the club I want to leave. I’m focused on doing everything I can to keep the club in this division! Stop believing everything you read.”
Ander Herrera: Manchester United to AC Milan
Italian club AC Milan are preparing a summer move for Manchester United midfielder Ander Herrera. According to Tuttosport, and reported by the Daily Star, the Serie A side are plotting a £30m bid for the Spaniard whose Old Trafford contract expires next summer.
Justin Kluivert: England appeals to me
Ajax forward Justin Kluivert says he could see himself moving to England in the future, the Daily Mirror reports. The 18-year-old told Helden: “England appeals to me: Arsenal, Tottenham, Chelsea or Manchester United are nice clubs where I can see myself playing in a few years. If you get a nice offer, you never know.”

Arsenal consider ‘early’ Wenger decision
Arsenal are considering “an early decision” over Arsene Wenger’s future, says the Daily Mail, with the French boss under increasing pressure to secure Champions League qualification for next season. According to the Mail, the Gunners “want to avoid the uncertainty that destabilised their form last season”.
Ederson set for new City deal
He only joined Manchester City in June last year but Brazilian goalkeeper Ederson could be set for a new bumper contract at the Premier League leaders. The Sun says that the 24-year-old’s impressive form is set to be rewarded by City chiefs and they will offer him “fresh terms”.
Cahill ‘devastated’ by Mason’s retirement
Chelsea and England defender Gary Cahill is “devastated” to learn that Hull City midfielder Ryan Mason has been forced to retire at the age of 26. Mason suffered a fractured skull following an accidental clash with Cahill during a Premier League match in January last year. Cahill tweeted: “Devastated to hear today’s news from Ryan. Competing for a corner is something we’ve done thousands of times and to see those consequences for a top professional like Ryan is heartbreaking. Sending all my love to him and his family, and wishing him the best for the future.”
