Linked with a move to Real Madrid, Salah told Liverpool fans that he had big ambitions at the Merseyside club, starting with the Champions League final against Real on 26 May in Kiev.
Quoted by The Guardian, he said: “I’m very happy here. I have got ambitions for the future with Liverpool. As you can see we had a great season and now we are in the Champions League final and everyone is excited. It is just the start.”
Wayne Rooney: Everton to DC United
Will Wayne Rooney leave Everton for Major League Soccer (MLS) side DC United? Yesterday most of the media reported that he had “agreed in principle” on a £12m move to the US club. But while a deal is close, The Washington Post says the transfer is still “50-50”. The Daily Mirror reports that Rooney could snub a move to MLS if Sam Allardyce leaves as Everton boss. The Toffees “face a choice between [the] ex-England star and manager”, the Mirror says.
Top six clubs target Jorginho
Napoli and Italy midfielder Jorginho is wanted by all the Premier League’s top-six clubs. Valued at £52.9m, Manchester City are favourites to sign the 26-year-old ahead of Manchester United, Tottenham, Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal. (The Times)
Malcom: Bordeaux to Liverpool
Reds boss Jurgen Klopp wants to strengthen his attacking options for next season. Bordeaux winger Malcom is one of three attackers on Liverpool’s shopping list but they could face competition from Manchester United, Arsenal and Tottenham for the £40m-rated Brazilian. Klopp is also keen on Bayer Leverkusen’s Leon Bailey and Borussia Dortmund’s Christian Pulisic. (Daily Mail)
Alvaro Morata: Chelsea to Juventus
Juventus want to end Alvaro Morata’s “nightmare” at Chelsea by bringing the striker back to Italy. The Serie A side are set to bid £15m to sign Morata on loan with a view to making the deal permanent for an extra £40m. (Daily Express)
Jamaal Lascelles: Newcastle United to Everton
Everton are lining up a £25m bid for Newcastle captain Jamaal Lascelles. The 24-year-old has also been watched by Chelsea and Tottenham. (Daily Mirror)
Kieran Tierney: Celtic to Bournemouth
Celtic defender Kieran Tierney is Bournemouth’s top target this summer. But even with a £20m bid, the Cherries face an “uphill task” to convince the Scotland international to head south. (Daily Mail)
Aaron Mooy: Huddersfield Town to West Ham
Huddersfield Town’s Australian midfielder Aaron Mooy is a target for West Ham. The former Manchester City player signed for Huddersfield for £10m after a loan spell and the Yorkshire club are expected to offer him a new improved contract to stay. (The Times)
Toure wants Premier League stay
Departing Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure wants to stay in the Premier League and intends to turn down “lucrative offers” from China and the Middle East. The 34-year-old Ivory Coast international is keen to remain in England. (Daily Mail)
Andre Silva: AC Milan to Wolves
AC Milan striker Andre Silva is the top summer target for newly-promoted Wolves. The Portuguese star, who is 22, joined Milan from Porto last summer for £33m. (The Sun)
