According to Sky Sports, the 25-year-old will undergo a medical at Old Trafford today and will become Jose Mourinho’s first signing of the summer transfer window. Mourinho will be delighted to secure the proposed transfer of Fred, who was also linked with a move to United’s rivals, Manchester City, in January.
But when asked about the move, Fred revealed he didn’t know where he would end up. He told Brazilian newspaper Globo: “I’ll still talk to my agents to find out the reality of it... I still do not know where I’m going.”

Another midfielder whose future is set to be confirmed is Liverpool’s Emre Can. The German, who is 24, has reportedly signed a four-year deal with Juventus and will have a medical later this week.
