Lewandowski could stay at Bayern
Premier League clubs Chelsea and Manchester United could miss out on signing Robert Lewandowski because the striker may stay with Bayern Munich.
The Poland skipper, who played at the World Cup in Russia, had reportedly told the German champions that he wanted to leave. But according to the Daily Star Bayern’s new boss Niko Kovac expects the 29-year-old to remain at the club.

Kovac said: “Nothing new about Robert Lewandowski. I called him and gave him my point of view. I look forward to having him in the team. He is a great player, a world-class striker who has done a lot for the club and will do a lot in the future.”
Morata and Higuain to swap?
Chelsea are keen to thrash out a deal with Juventus for a swap involving Alvaro Morata and Gonzalo Higuain. It’s reported that the Blues are “ready to negotiate” a deal that will see Spanish striker Morata, 25, return to the Italian club and Argentina forward Higuain, 30, move to Stamford Bridge. Kasper Schmeichel: Leicester City to Chelsea/Roma
Leicester City goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel is a target for Chelsea and Roma. The Denmark international, who was superb in his country’s last-16 defeat at the World Cup against Croatia, is wanted by both clubs as their current No.1s may move on. Chelsea’s Thibaut Courtois and Roma’s Alisson have both been linked with transfers away from their clubs. (Sky Sports)
Riyad Mahrez: Leicester City to Manchester City
Riyad Mahrez is closing in on a move to Premier League champions Manchester City. The Algerian winger has been excused from pre-season training by Leicester and a deal is expected to be struck this week. (The Sun)
Aleksandr Golovin: CSKA Moscow to Chelsea
Aleksandr Golovin’s mother has confirmed that her son is in talks with Chelsea. The 22-year-old has starred for Russia at the World Cup and has been linked with a number of Europe’s biggest clubs. When asked about Chelsea, Golovin’s mother Svetlana said: “Yes, now there are talks between the clubs, but we still do not know the details. Sacha right now stands only for the Russian team, fully focused on the World Cup. The transition from one club to another will only be discussed after it is completed here.” (The Sun)
Anthony Martial: Manchester United to Bayern Munich
Bayern Munich have refused to respond to speculation about a move for Manchester United’s Anthony Martial. The Frenchman, 22, has been linked with a transfer to the German champions, but the club’s sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic said: “These things we discuss internally. If there is something to tell you, we will do that.” (Daily Mirror)
Daley Blind: Manchester United to Ajax
Dutch club Ajax are “exploring the possibility” of re-signing Daley Blind from Manchester United. The 28-year-old defender made 143 appearances for Ajax before joining United in 2014. (Daily Mail)
Malcom: Bordeaux to Inter Milan
Bordeaux winger Malcom had been linked with a move to Tottenham or Arsenal but it appears that the 21-year-old Brazilian could be set to join Inter Milan. The Italian side have reportedly offered €10m (£8.9m) to take Malcom on a one-year loan with the option of making the move permanent for €30m (£26.6m). (Daily Mirror)
