Man Utd and Chelsea on Ramsey alert
It could be a case of new manager, old problems for Arsenal after reports that midfielder Aaron Ramsey could quit the club to join a Premier League rival.
Talks over a new deal collapsed last week and, according to the Daily Express, Ramsey is now wanted by teams including Manchester United and Chelsea.

“The Wales midfielder is resigned to the fact his Gunners career is coming to an end after ten years,” says the paper. “His current deal expires next summer and he was all set to sign an extension only to be stunned by the club’s shock U-turn.”
Aside from United and Chelsea, AC Milan, Juventus and Valencia are all interested in the midfielder.
Are Juve preparing Pogba bid?
Paul Pogba’s future is once again the subject of speculation, with the Manchester Evening News picking up on reports at the weekend claiming Juventus are mulling over a £60m move for their former player.
However, Juventus vice-president Pavel Nedved said talk of a deal was “futile”.
Speaking to Sky Italia the former Juve star somehow played down any suggestion of a move, while making it clear the club are interested in the midfielder.
Asked about the prospect of signing the Frenchman, Nedved said: “I think Pogba is one of the best players in the world, so it would be wonderful, but he is at Manchester United and therefore talking about it is futile.
“We are alert in the transfer market, but January is a long way away.”
Hazard boost for Chelsea
Chelsea could be the big winners if Real Madrid coach Julen Lopetegui is sacked by Real Madrid after their 5-1 humiliation by Barcelona in El Clasico.
Reports suggest former Blues coach Antonio Conte is being lined up as replacement at the Bernabeu, a move that would cast doubt on Eden Hazard’s potential switch to the Spanish capital.
Belgian journalist Kristof Terreur suggested on Twitter that Hazard would prefer to stay in London than work with the Italian manager again.
Everton watch Vardy situation
Jamie Vardy’s strained relationship with Leicester manager Claude Puel has got Everton excited, reports the Daily Mirror.
The 31-year-old was left on the bench for Saturday’s draw with West Ham and is believed to have been unhappy with the decision.
“This has alerted Everton who have maintained a long-standing interest in the livewire striker and could make a move in the January transfer window.”
The Mirror says the former England striker would still command a fee of around £25m from the Toffees to move.
Spurs reopen Eriksen talks
Spurs are preparing to reopen talks with Christian Eriksen after negotiations over a new deal stalled in the summer. The Dane is under contract until 2020 and is happy at the club, but The Sun reports that he wants to more than double his wages to £160,000 a week.
That demand led to talks being abandoned earlier in the year, but with Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid watching the situation Spurs are now returning to the negotiating table.
Kovacic deal not set in stone
Mateo Kovacic is being “coy” about the prospect of making his loan move from Real Madrid to Chelsea permanent, reports the Daily Mail.
“The Croatian moved to Stamford Bridge in the summer in search of regular football and has started six Premier League games so far, although he was an unused substitute as the Blues smashed Burnley 4-0 on Sunday afternoon,” says the paper.
“Kovacic admitted that it is taking time to adjust to the style of English football and said that it is too early to comment on potentially making his move permanent.”
Liverpool scout Demirbay
Liverpool have been handed a transfer boost after Hoffenheim midfielder Kerem Demirbay confirmed the club’s interest in him. He told Sky Sports Germany that he knew the Reds had been scouting him. (Sportslens)
