Premier League transfer news and rumours
Mourinho slams Pogba

According to The Daily Telegraph Mourinho called Pogba a “virus” in front of the United squad on Saturday and criticised the Frenchman for his lack of respect.

Mourinho allegedly said: “You don’t play. You don’t respect players and supporters. And you kill the mentality of the good honest people around you. You are like a person with a flu, with a virus in a closed room - you pass that virus to the others.”
Pogba has been linked with a return to former club Juventus and also with Spanish giants Barcelona.
Inter target Ozil
Another star midfielder who could be on his way out of the Premier League is Arsenal’s Mesut Ozil. The German missed the 4-2 derby win against Spurs yesterday because of back spasms and was left out of the match against Bournemouth last week by Gunners boss Unai Emery. The Sun reports that the 30-year-old playmaker could be offered an escape from his “Arsenal misery” by Italian club Inter Milan.
Real eye Ramsey
Aaron Ramsey’s Arsenal contract expires at the end of the season and he will be available on a free transfer. The Welsh midfielder is also free to sign a pre-contract agreement with continental clubs in January. One of the clubs reportedly interested are Real Madrid. The Champions League holders have made contact and could make a sensational move for the 28-year-old. (Daily Mirror)
Race for Tonali heats up
Brescia midfielder Sandro Tonali is being chased by a number of top European clubs. The 18-year-old’s impressive performances in Serie B have caught the eye of Chelsea and Juventus and now Inter Milan have joined the race. (Calciomercato)
Fred’s future in the balance?
Manchester United midfielder Fred has been left annoyed after his lack of action at Old Trafford saw him left out of the most recent Brazil squad. Signed from Shakhtar Donetsk for £52m this summer, the 25-year-old has only started six Premier League matches this season. (Manchester Evening News)
Zielinski set for new deal
Liverpool target Piotr Zielinski is hoping to sign a new contract with Italian side Napoli. The 24-year-old Polish international has been a long-term target of Reds boss Jurgen Klopp. (The Guardian)
Milan want Fabregas and Ibrahimovic
Italian club AC Milan want to bolster their squad by signing Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas and LA Galaxy striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Speaking to Sky Italia, Milan sporting strategy and development director Paolo Maldini said: “We’ve got our ideas, which is normal since it’s already December. We want to do everything we can to finish in the top four and if we can do it [sign Fabregas/Ibra], then we will, but we’re also happy with the squad we’ve got. There are several players whose contracts are up for renewal who are showing great professionalism.”
Butland will cost £50m
Stoke City are keen to keep goalkeeper Jack Butland and will only sell him for big money. The Championship club, who were relegated from the Premier League last season, have reportedly “slapped” a £50m price tag on the 25-year-old. Butland was England’s No.2 goalkeeper at the 2018 Fifa World Cup. (The Sun)
