Chase heats up for De Jong
German giants Bayern Munich have joined Manchester City, Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain in the race to sign Ajax star Frenkie de Jong.
The 21-year-old midfielder is rated as one of Europe’s top young stars and he has been linked with a £70m move away from the Dutch club.

Man City boss Pep Guardiola is reportedly keen on signing the midfielder next summer but according to reports Barcelona are favourites to land De Jong. (Daily Mail)
PSG’s Prem targets
If Paris Saint-Germain miss out on Ajax’s Frenkie de Jong then they could line up moves for a number of Premier League players. On PSG’s list are Southampton midfielder Mario Lemina, Watford’s Abdoulaye Doucoure and Everton’s Idrissa Gueye. (The Sun)

Bayern Munich are also interested in Roma winger Cengiz Under and are favourites to land the Turkish international. The 21-year-old is reportedly a target for north London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham. (ESPN)
Wilson not for sale
Chelsea assistant Gianfranco Zola this week revealed the club were interested in signing Bournemouth striker Callum Wilson. However, Cherries boss Eddie Howe says the England international is not for sale. (Sky Sports)
Aouar impresses City
Lyon midfielder Houssem Aouar is being lined up by Manchester City as a possible long-term replacement for Fernandinho. The 20-year-old Aouar impressed Pep Guardiola in the two Champions League group games between City and Lyon. (The Sun)
Ozil to Inter?
Mesut Ozil didn’t even make the bench for Arsenal’s 2-0 league cup loss against rivals Tottenham last night. The German midfielder’s time at the Emirates could be set to end and Italian club Inter Milan are once again linked with a move. (Daily Mail)
Solskjaer’s triple challenge
One of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s main tasks as caretaker manager of Manchester United will be to persuade David de Gea, Anthony Martial and Paul Pogba to stay at Old Trafford. The trio had been linked with moves away under Jose Mourinho but United’s board want them to stay for the long-term. (The Guardian)
