Harry Kane is set to have a scan on his injured ankle and there are fears that Tottenham’s star striker could be out of action for up to four weeks.
Kane was injured at the end of the 1-0 defeat against Manchester United on Sunday and the Daily Mirror says his ankle was “so badly swollen” it was not possible to do a scan on the damage.
The Guardian said that Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino was “worried” by the extent of his star striker’s injury. Should England captain Kane be ruled out for a month he would miss next Thursday’s Carabao Cup semi-final second leg against Chelsea and a number of Premier League matches.

Spurs captain and goalkeeper Hugo Lloris has urged his team-mates to step up if Kane is ruled out. The Frenchman said: “We all know how important Harry is in our team but he is not all of our team. Football is about the team and every player is ready to help the team.
“In football during the season you have ups and downs and you have to always adapt to those, and we will see about ‘H’. It is better when you have all your best players on the field but that can happen here or it can happen at other clubs. With or without him we will see how we do.”
Tottenham’s next match is a Premier League trip to Fulham on Sunday (4pm).
