Star Wars: Episode VII trailer will debut exclusively in select movie theaters on Friday
In a decision that flies in the face of a trailer-happy YouTube culture, the first trailer for Star Wars: Episode VII will debut exclusively in movie theaters on Friday. The Regal theater chain has revealed a list of nine theaters that will premiere the trailer, including locations in New York, Chicago, and San Diego.
The decision hearkens back to a time when moviegoers bought tickets to Meet Joe Black just to get their first glimpse of Star Wars: Episode I. Of course, the internet being the internet, you can start searching YouTube for grainy cell phone videos of the Star Wars: Episode VII trailer on Saturday morning. --Scott Meslow
