Dreaming of a white Christmas? You'll probably have to keep dreaming.
Due to severe weather patterns across the country as the hottest year on record comes to an end, the typically reliably snowy Northeast won't see anything close to a white Christmas; in fact, temperatures all along the Atlantic coast will be nearing or surpassing 70 degrees Fahrenheit. And even in the West, where states like Utah will see some white, the snowfall is more of a pummeling than a sweet holiday dusting.
So whether you're missing your hometown's usual Christmas snowfall, or you're huddled inside to avoid the frozen free-for-all outside, don't let climate change get you down. Here's how to make your own snow — and how to make your white Christmas dreams come true:
