A 15th-century luxury has returned. Habit Rouge Gloves ($315), from Guerlain, mark the first modern appearance of perfumed gloves for men. The concept dates to the Medicis, who wore scented gloves to defend their noses against foul odors, and then spread the habit to France's royal court — launching the nation's perfume industry. Guerlain, which first produced perfumed gloves in 1872, released two styles for women last year. The new gloves, sewn by the atelier Agnelle, are made of fine lambskin with a cashmere lining and smartphone-ready fingertips, said Juliett Ptoyan at Fragrantica. Their scent, Habit Rouge, features aromas of vanilla and patchouli.
