Burrito lovers everywhere can now stand in line for their fix with decidedly less shame. Chipotle's E. coli outbreaks "appear to be over," the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said Monday.
The agency is closing its investigation of two separate outbreaks thought to be linked to the burrito chain. The newest illness reported to the CDC started Dec. 1. Across both outbreaks, 60 people were infected. None of them have died.
The company plans to close all of its stores for a few hours Feb. 8 for an all-staff meeting about food safety.
