Sen. Bernie Sanders (I) notched his second Super Tuesday victory in the conservative stronghold of Oklahoma, The Associated Press and other news organizations are projecting. With 100 percent of precincts reporting, Sanders led by 51.9 percent to Democratic rival Hillary Clinton's 41.5 percent.

The result is a bit of an upset over Clinton, who swept the other six Southern states in Tuesday's primaries and led Sanders by single digits in two polls from February, but Sanders' team saw a path to victory. "Oklahoma is a place where there is a tremendous amount of outsider, anti-establishment sentiment in the electorate and the electorate at large," Sanders senior adviser Tad Devine noted before the election.
