Trump campaign calls Ted Cruz a 'Trojan horse' after Wisconsin loss

Sen. Ted Cruz was projected the winner of the Wisconsin Republican primary less than an hour after the polls closed on Tuesday. The Donald Trump campaign responded with a statement arguing that "Trump withstood the onslaught of the establishment once again," even though "Lyin' Ted Cruz had the governor of Wisconsin, many conservative talk radio show hosts, and the entire party apparatus behind him."

The Trump team went on to accuse Cruz of illegally coordinating with his supportive super PACs ("who totally control him), then added this line: "Ted Cruz is worse than a puppet — he is a Trojan horse, being used by the party bosses attempting to steal the nomination from Mr. Trump." Mr. Trump could also have just taken the traditional action of a congratulatory phone call to Cruz, but his campaign is right about one thing: He is still the only candidate who can realistically "secure the delegates needed to win the Republican nomination," and Wisconsin won't change that math.
