The good news keeps coming for Ted Cruz. The morning after he beat Donald Trump in the Wisconsin primary, a Reuters/Ipsos poll had Cruz almost catching up with Trump nationally, with Trump narrowly leading him, 39.5 percent to 35.2 percent, within the poll's 4.8 point credibility interval. The only other candidate to have tied Trump in the Reuters poll was Ben Carson, on Nov. 7. Cruz was trailing Trump by 20 percentage points in early March. The poll was conducted April 1-5, during a particularly rocky week for Trump. According to the RealClearPolitics roundup of national polls, Trump is beating Cruz 40.4 percent to 32.8 percent, with John Kasich trailing at 20.6 percent.
