Thursday's Democratic debate in Brooklyn was notably more contentious than the previous face-offs between Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders. After the debate, CNN asked Sanders if he thought the sharp elbows would make it harder for the Democratic Party to come together after a nominee is chosen. "Well, I think the tone was different because we have won seven out of the last eight state contests, and I think the Clinton campaign, and the secretary, are getting a little bit nervous," Sanders said. "I think it's undeniable that we have the momentum. We have been attacked a whole lot by the Clinton camp, but I am feeling very, very good coming into the New York primary on Tuesday."
The CNN moderators did ask Clinton and Sanders about their attacks in the past week, but the two candidates needed little prompting to introduce new ones.
