Budweiser is renaming its beer 'America'

This summer, sit back, relax, and crack open an ice-cold can of "America," formerly known as Budweiser. Yes, that's right: Starting this summer up until the November presidential election, Budweiser is planning to replace the name of its beer with the word "America." "We thought nothing was more iconic than Budweiser and nothing was more iconic than America," the creative director at the branding firm behind the name change told Fast Co Design.
The company has reportedly filed the below label for approval from the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau:
As if a beer quite literally called "America" wasn't patriotic enough, Budweiser has even more plans to amp up its beer's patriotism. The new packaging will also bear the phrases "Liberty and Justice for All," "Indivisible Since 1776," "Land of the Free," "Home of the Brave," and "From the Redwood Forest to the Gulf Stream waters this land was made for you and me." For a final touch, the can is topped with "a diamond containing 'U.S.' and a smaller 'United States of America,'" The Washington Post reports. And even that sits just below the lyrics from the first four bars of "The Star-Spangled Banner."
