Trump calls for retaliation against ISIS following Orlando shooting

Donald Trump called for retaliation against the Islamic State following the mass shooting Sunday in Orlando that left 49 dead. "We really have to increase the bombings," he told Fox News' Brian Kilmeade on Monday.
When asked specifically where the U.S. should target its airstrikes, Trump said, "I would strike — well, you know, they know… We have generals who think we can win this thing so fast and so strong but we have to be furious for a short period of time and we're not doing it."
Following the Orlando shooting, U.S. officials have cautioned that there is no evidence the attacker, U.S.-born Omar Mateen, had any direct ties to ISIS or was in contact with the Islamist terrorist group. ISIS encourages "lone wolf" attacks in the West, and an ISIS spokesman recently encouraged such attacks before the start of the holy month of Ramadan.
