The owner of an Ohio gun shop was killed while teaching a concealed carry class when a student accidentally fired a weapon and shot him, police say.
James Baker, 64, was shot in the neck Saturday while students practiced weapon malfunction drills at the KayJay Gun Shop, The Cincinnati Enquirer reports. The Clermont County Sheriff's Office said about 10 people were taking the class in a room adjacent to where Baker was, and the student who discharged the handgun has not been identified.
Anna Fritz, a friend of Baker's since 1999, told the Enquirer he worked in law enforcement in the 1970s and was "a friend to everybody. If it snowed, he'd get everybody's driveway."
