Millions worldwide celebrate International Yoga Day on Tuesday

Last year, the United Nations declared June 21 International Day of Yoga, and so on Tuesday, people in countries around the world will gather in large public places to fold themselves into complex positions — or at least do downward dog. In India, where yoga originated, millions participated on Tuesday, with Prime Minister Naredra Modi joining a yoga party of 30,000 schoolchildren and other residents of Chandigarh, proclaiming yoga's low barrier to entry: "With zero budget yoga provides health assurance and it does not discriminate between rich and poor."
