Of the many strange and surreal moments to come out of the second presidential debate, the one that is leaving a strong lasting impression is perhaps the strangest and most surreal of all — and it has nothing to do with Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump.
Ken Bone "[won] over debate viewers' hearts" after he was called on by the moderators to ask a question. But the question was mostly irrelevant — it was Bone and his cheery red sweater that viewers fell in love with:
It turns out a wardrobe mishap is in part to thank for turning Bone into a phenomenon. Apparently Bone had planned to wear an olive suit to the debate, but the pants ripped. So he went with plan B.
