President Trump is headed to Texas on Tuesday to check on the recovery efforts from Tropical Storm Harvey. Joined by first lady Melania Trump and probably Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R), Trump will head first to Corpus Christi, about 30 miles south of where Harvey made landfall as a Category 4 hurricane, and then Austin, where he will tour the Emergency Operations Center and get a briefing from state officials.

Rain is still falling in Houston on Tuesday, where parts of the city have already been deluged with 43 inches of rain since Friday, and flood levels are still rising. So far, at least 10 people have died from hurricane-related incidents, and shelters are filling up across Texas. Harvey is slowly moving toward Louisiana, which is bracing for flooding of its own.
