Seth Rogen is the new voice of Vancouver transit
Actor Seth Rogen may live in California now, but he'll channel his Canadian roots to tell train passengers how to make their trip "even more awesome."
Rogen will voice a series of announcements for public transit systems in Vancouver, British Columbia, the Vancouver Sun reported Thursday.
The comedy star, known for films like Pineapple Express and Knocked Up, volunteered himself for the job back in May. The "guest voice" gig opened up after TransLink and SkyTrain officials dropped their contract with actor Morgan Freeman, who was going to voice the announcements until he was accused of sexual harassment.

"I am honestly always looking for ways to participate in Canadian culture and to put the spotlight on Canada," Rogen said in a promotional video announcing the move. Rogen reportedly did the job for free, and excitedly shared the news in a Thursday tweet. Twitter was instrumental in helping him get the job — Canada's TransLink sent him a message about it after he told them to "hit me up" about replacing Morgan.
The announcements will be featured starting next week, but it's still unclear whether Rogen's signature gruff chuckle will be included. Read more at the Vancouver Sun.
