Police officers in Sanford, Florida, were in udder disbelief earlier this week when a herd of cows helped corner a suspected car thief.
Members of the Seminole County Sheriff's Office and Sanford Police Department were chasing a stolen vehicle on Monday when the suspects crashed the SUV in a ditch. They jumped out of the car and started running, with one ending up in a pasture. She quickly realized she wasn't alone, as 16 crime-stopping cows began to give chase, cornering the woman until officers caught up and arrested her.
The Seminole County Sheriff's Office praised the bovines on Facebook, saying they "provided law enforcement a big assist, repeatedly following and helping corral [a suspect] who strayed onto their turf." The suspect was arrested and has been charged with theft, possession of cocaine, and resisting arrest. A police helicopter equipped with a heat-seeking camera captured the entire incident on tape — watch the video below. Catherine Garcia
