A suspect identified as Robert Bowers attacked Pittsburgh's Tree of Life Synagogue Saturday morning, reportedly shouting an anti-Semitic slogan. Per local media, 11 people were killed and six more injured before the shooter, a white male, surrendered to authorities. He was reportedly injured, possibly by officer fire, when taken into custody.

"It is imperative that the neighbors in the community surrounding the Tree of Life Synagogue stay in their houses and shelter in place," said Pittsburgh police commander Jason Lando. "Do not come out of your home right now. It is not safe."

President Trump tweeted that he is watching the situation.
