Court is adjourned for Netflix's Daredevil.

The Netflix superhero series based on the Marvel comics has been canceled after three seasons, Deadline reports. "We are tremendously proud of the show's last and final season and although it's painful for the fans, we feel it best to close this chapter on a high note," Netflix said. Clearly, the show's creators didn't feel the same way, as showrunner Erik Oleson announced on Twitter earlier this month that he had just pitched a fourth season, adding, "Fingers crossed!"

So could these Marvel shows be revived in some form on Disney+? That seems possible based on Netflix's statement, which notes that "the Daredevil character will live on in future projects for Marvel." Disney is already reportedly working on streaming shows based on Marvel characters Loki, Scarlet Witch, Bucky Barnes, and Sam Wilson. Whether there might be room in the mix for Daredevil remains to be seen.
